Midwest Fall Drives

For decades, this stately colonial with its wide wrap-around porch seemed to be constantly undergoing renovation. It was never clear to the neighborhood observer the exact state of the project. New windows were installed, but the manufacturer’s stickers remained for months. New paint was applied, but ivy grew back before the work was finished.
